The chocolate history of the Swiss Federal Capital is one aspect, and the best Swiss chocolate is another. Here, you will get to enjoy both.
Starting at the Prison Tower, my guests walk along the path of the city’s famous chocolate pioneers. This takes us through Bern’s Old Town - a part of the UNESCO World Heritage. We stop at the previous locations where Tobler, Bloch and Wander started their careers. There, you learn more about their sweet life and have the chance to taste these classic Bernese chocolate specialties.

The next highlight is a chocolate tasting at Nobile, which is not only a current local chocolatier but also the best in Switzerland. Next to the former factory of Rodolphe Lindt - who invented the deliciously melting chocolate in the Matte district in 1879 - I will introduce you to the most important chocolate history of Switzerland. The sweet finale awaits you at the Bear Park.

The historical part is designed more for adults. Participation is by registration only, and availability can be checked in the calendar. Any allergies or special needs can be noted during the online booking process at the checkout. Group inquiries are welcome via the contact form.

  • Die Schokoladen-Tour dauert 2 Stunden

  • For the Chocolate Tour we meet us at the Kaefigturm, Marktgasse 67, 3011 Bern. Prison Tower is the English word for Kaefigturm.

    Thanks to the protective arcades in Bern’s Old Town, the tour can take place regardless of the weather. However, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended.
